Content
How can psychoanalysis preserve its theoretical and clinical complexity when communicating in digital environments that often reward speed and simplification? This panel addresses the question by presenting the experience of the website of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society. Designed with attention to quality and accessibility, the website not only documents scientific activities but also offers original contributions that allow psychoanalysis to engage with contemporary culture: literature, cinema, philosophy, current affairs, and neuroscience, with a special focus on international content.
In parallel, we will illustrate our measured presence on social media, which enables us to reach a broader audience while maintaining a sober communication style consistent with psychoanalytic ethics. Within this framework, we will examine the concept of neutrality, the main theme of the congress, not as a technicalclinical abstinence but as a guiding principle in public communication: neutrality as responsibility and moderation. This stance both protects the specificity of psychoanalytic discourse and encourages necessary dialogue with contemporary society.
The panel also seeks to foster exchange between national and international experiences, with the aim of reflecting on how to inhabit digital space in ways consistent with the ethics and thought of psychoanalysis.
